Wardrobe Must Haves: Denim- Save Or Splurge

Hi babes! I’ve really wanted to get back into fashion and traditional blogging even though I’m not sure if others like it any more but I miss it! I know the key is to keep these short and simple.

So lately I’ve been talking fashion and also done a few interviews for other blogs, and the number one question is always what are wardrobe staples and what to spend your money on?

Well always you want good classic items: classic items are timeless items that will always be in style and an essential. The most classic item is a good pair of denim, I think in the ages of fast fashion people don’t think about classic items anymore and just kind of think they can always replace it, but it’s always good to have items that will be there regardless of the trends.. now I know denim changes but once you find a style and fit you love you wear it constantly. Denim is a classic item and you find yourself wearing them multiple times so you wouldn’t want to sacrifice quality. Just think of how many times you wash and wear you don’t want something that will be in shreds a few wears later.

Lately i have been getting back to basics and really searching for good classic items I don’t mind splurging on.

So you tell me do you splurge or save on denim? 

I love denim and usually buy them every chance I get but I find myself wanting a good quality pair that will last me and I will get multiple uses out of. I have recently just got a roundup of some denim I want to try. Of course Retailers like Zara, Abercrombie, revolve, Nordstrom, Levi’s etc have great brand or is a great brand for quality jeans. So I decided to do a round up of my wish list and I do plan on purchasing a pair of more expensive jeans and do the test if it is worth it or should I continue to buy my $30 fashion nova jeans or whatever it may be. Not saying they are great jeans but I find myself purchasing them all the time.

Fav Hair Care Round Up

Hey babes! I’m back to like the whole “traditional” blogging who remembers those days? I miss it so we going back to the OG days! I wanted to come on and do my fav hair care items and products! Now now let me tell you! I’m no way great at doing hair but I can do a little bit! I honestly just love a good curl but I do go to the hair salon and get my hue done but if I’m doing it myself I will use a few products that help me out!

I usually just get my product from target, in no way do I know about salon grade products so I just stick with what I know. OGX is my fav and the line by Tiraji P is great! It is at target and makes my hair feel like salon done!

I usually go with moisturizing shampoos or for thick hair. I have very dry scalp so I have to do extra! For styling I use my Revlon Dryer Brush to dry my hair and it’s a total game changer!!! You need it in your life! Cuts down on drying and makes it straight enough for styling! I have thick course hair and it is a game changer! I don’t know how to properly do blow outs so this helps so much!

Then I just go for a soft curl using my hot tools curling iron! I love using these product even if I’m wearing a wig, weave or my extensions these are my go to products!

Mommy Monday’s: Patience

Hey babes! So I’m apologize I missed two Monday’s since starting this series and whew life has been busy. Even being a stay at home mom you are busy! People like to talk down on being a stay at home mom but that is the toughest job of them all. I also run my business SHOPACHAUNTAL so I have my hands full. But today I want to talk about patience. Patience is the one thing I learned that you need as a parent. Well you need patience in life but I mean paaaattiiiennnceeeee for being a mom. There are times you have to understand that raising a little one is tough and it is an every day and ongoing thing. You can’t just teach them once and then boom everything is right. They will forget things or take longer to learn things so you can’t get upset when they aren’t learning something or take too long to learn. Also right now I’m in the toddler phase so just because she’s older I have to know she’s still not going to grasp the concept of things because she still is a baby. Even though so many things happen in the day I try not to get up and understand that he we might go through the same thing multiple times. Just know you will get through it and eventually they will know all the things they need to know so don’t try to rush their process of growing and learning and understand you will go through it multiple times. 

Now I even say have patience with fits, tantrums etc. we as adults have to understand we even get frustrated when we can’t do something so just imagine now being able to even say what’s wrong or do something. That’s how toddlers feel so they express it with fits or tantrums. I do let her know hey this is not okay but you have to allow them to feel the way they feel or they will never learn about emotions or feelings. I know some days are better than others and some day just seem like tantrum city. Just find ways to ease yourself as well and that will help with your tolerance for things. I know sometimes we can snap but I try to tell myself hey one day she will get it and each day we are working on it but she’s still growing and until she can fully communicate we will go through some issues. But just know moms you are enough  and you are doing everything you can! You are your child’s greatest partner and safety net and they adore you!

Mommy Monday’s: Mom Guilt

Okay babes.. let’s have a chat now this is for anyone doesn’t have to be moms.. but since I am a new mommy I’m sure others can relate or if you are expecting in planning to conceive.. I don’t want this to scare you at all! I decided to start a meeting series... Mommy Monday’s where each Monday I share a new mommy post whether it’s how I’m feeling or what I’m going through or even to stuff I want to do for myself or little mom self care moments anything but it’s going to be specifically about mom stuff! So be expecting them each Monday!! Super excited and also let me know what else we should cover in mommy Monday’s... okay so this first topic is mom guilt and boy can we all relate!! Something so small can even give you mom guilt. Well mine rn is feeling bad for even asking for help or feeling like you can’t even complain that you are tired cause you are a mom. I mean we all know how exhausting this can be but people are like “you decided to have one so deal with it!” Well listen hunny... everyone needs a break! If you feel you need a break... please please take one! Ask for help even if it’s so you can run to the store alone or get one load of laundry done with not interruptions. And I mean easier said than done because we all feel like we don’t want to interrupt anyone else’s life for something that’s my responsibility. I mean at I right that’s what it totally feels like so that’s why we just keep to ourselves and tough it out.. well don’t feel bad! Your mental health and state is the most important so you can be the best mommy you can be! I’m currently dealing with an 19mo old and boy oh boy does no one ever really prepare you and well tbh they can’t.. every single child is different but you’re not alone even though they are all different a mom has experienced it in one point and time. Tantrums.. we are dealing with tantrums and sensitivity to being told what to do... I feel drained I’m exhausted. But patience is key! Take it at your pace don’t try to compare your child to anyone else around or near their age! Every child grows and learns at their own pace. Now I know it’s tough cause hey I’m a blogger myself but I know following bloggers and influencers can change your judgement on things, I find myself doing the same! But hey I’m here to be real with you guys and let you know it’s not easy in the slightest bit, but so rewarding how? Because you created a life. Remember that hunn, you created life. You are helping this little life grow and teach them right from wrong and will be there for every milestone they have. You are appreciated mom even if you feel like you are wearing so many hats! Take time for yourself and know it’s okay to do things for yourself and to still put yourself first with out doing it selfishly. I know motherhood is tough to navigate and sometimes feel like that’s all you become, but try your best to not lose yourself you deserve the world as you are the heart of keeping your family together! It’s tough and I know the standards of how women are looked but find your happiness as well! There are so many things we can go on about but I want to let you know you are not alone and I feel guilty all the time for even wanting to ask for help or to even complain in the slightest bit. My Toddler Favs

Hey babes! Wanted to come on and just say hi and share my current things I love for Audri! We are entering toddler phase and boy am I exhausted. She’s runs through the house day in and day out! But she is so amazing and is growing so fast I’m trying to cherish my moments with her!

We don’t have a long list of favorites but I do pretty much get everything from target! I love getting her clothes from there and her eating items. We are really just going with the flow and trying new things. In no way am I trying to be the perfect mom. I’m trying to be organized and schedule oriented but sometimes it just doesn’t work that way, I also have to tell myself she is still so small and don’t really understand what I’m telling her. But man oh man it’s tough. Tantrum city and I’m sure you all can agree. We know it’s probably more tough moments but seeing them so happy outweighs it all!

First is food! We love all the little food purée pouches, she eats those so much but they have fruit mixes and real food mixes, she is still learning about eating real food which we love, we do eggs, she loves meat. But she doesn’t eat enough just yet.

Next we have toys she has a ton of toys but her favs are her little kitchen, now of course we know babies love everything but their toys lol but her fave toys are her kitchen and her shopping cart

Then we go into clothes we pretty much keep her in her onsies but she is now able to fit into her big girl clothes, I love love love finding her cut gems from Amazon!!! I mean we know Amazon has cute stuff but I love finding her cut fashionable outfits! But once she is older I would love to get her clothes from maybe H&M and Zara so she can appreciate the fashions more lol! But for now I try to find what I can in target, but I’m so over these crazy colors and patterns they have for babies! Where are the neutral clothes! But for now I try my best. There are cute boutiques that have amazing trendy clothes but I don’t want to spend much because she’s still growing so fast!

Best Picture Editing Apps

Hi babes! First blog of 2021 and can I say wow we all had a surprise glimpse of what 2021 may be lol but I’m very optimistic. So I wanted to share my fav apps I use for editing pictures and making my Instagram feed cute! I also use a lot of these apps for my online store Shop ACHAUNTAL I pretty much run all my businesses from here, I even write my blogs via phone. I mean we all use our phones for so much, there are some who still want to create via computer and honestly I miss it too, you can only do so much with your phone but what you can do it can take you far! So don’t think you need fancy items to help you create. Utilize what you have now until you get to the next step.

So I’m just going to go down the line of my most used apps

1. VSCO- probably the most popular app around today, I’ve used this for years and it has changed over the years but with this one there are basic editing things such as sharpness, saturation, contrast etc. there are also filters that come with or that you can purchase for the perfect aesthetic look. You can browse their filter store and purchase in app. My fave thing about this app is once you edit, you can copy and past the edit to the next picture for a very cohesive look. This one is beginner friendly and easy to navigate. My fave filter I use is A4 and I just adjust it and adjust the contrast and exposure. This app is FREE, has in app purchases if you want

2. LIGHTROOM- now Lightroom is very very popular amongst the content creators. Is a product of Adobe so if you are familiar you know Adobe products are much more advance for editing and if you have time you can sit for hours to mess around with all the effects. I used this one as well but I use it mostly for presets. Now presets are just filters that are already created and I’ve purchased a few from fellow creators or Etsy! You can creat your own presets by editing a picture in depth and once again copying and pasting the edits on all your pictures. I tend to edit in VSCO first then go into Lightroom and add presets if I want more of a cohesive style from a preset I have. I’m fairly new to Lightroom but have many ways you can edit your pictures. This app is FREE. Can purchase presets if you want.

3. STORYLUXE- now we are getting into apps for making Instagram storys more inviting and aesthetically pleasing! I love story luxe they have cute templates you can use for stories or just for your pictures. You can purchase different templates in the app I use this app especially for my brand story’s I want them to be very aesthetic and cute! I have a few examples below 

4. UNFOLD- this is another great app for story editing or just great templates for cool pictures! I love making stories just as pleasing as my feed! Can purchase different templates in the app

5. TEZZA APP- newer app I just recently downloaded it but it is all about the aesthetic, there’s is more in app purchases if you want the good stuff but the free stuff is great! Has really great templates for blogs, stories or feed!
